Image Uploading and Proper Resizing in Joomla |

When uploading and inserting an image into the Joomla content item you should: 1. Put your cursor in the location where you would like to insert the image 2. Click on Insert/Edit image icon  3. Click on Upload icon and browse your local computer for the image you want to upload. You can resize the image right here by clicking checkmark and typing in new width for the image. The image will be resized proportionally immediately after upload has completed. 4. Click OK to start uploading.  Make sure to have the image you've just uploaded selected and edit any of the parameters if necessary (like: Description, Title, VSpace, HSpace, Alignment, etc.). 5. After you are satisfied with everything just click Insert button. 
If you would like to resize the image that has been previously uploaded you SHOULDN'T scale it by dragging its corner diagonally (as on the image bellow):
Instead, you should select the image, click on Insert/Edit image icon and click on the Resize icon on the bottom right corner (see the image bellow):
