Joomla consultantHere is a quick checklist to help you compare Joomla consultants and weed out bad ones:
  1. He cannot be trusted. There is an unknown history and background behind him and his company.
  2. He is not a people person or you simply cannot get along.
  3. He offers solutions before he listens to your business problems and needs.
  4. He can determine and knows a solution to all issues and opportunities in all industries and geographies.
  5. He provides no creative recommendations to your issues.
  6. He creates no measurable value (saves time, money and resources, increases revenues, reduces current costs, preserves valuable assets related to what’s currently working well for your business and website, increases lead generation, etc).
  7. He presents his recommendation in a highly technical way instead of using business and non-technical terms.
  8. He tells you nicely sounding quotes and recommendations which in reality are not  actionable, realistic and don’t represent a long term solution to your business needs.
  9. He has no way to  reinforce his claims with previous references and successfully completed projects. He has unclear business and technical background or  the right type of experience and expertise needed for your project.
  10. He offers no exclusivity. As soon as your direct competitor finds out who did your project and pays more money, he’ll be sharing the same business secrets and proven business methodologies with your direct competitor.
